 I felt like Temple Square deserves it's own blog post because it's the main  thing in Salt Lake City.  With multiple buildings and campuses spread out across the city, Temple Square is the heart /headquarters of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was unable to see all of it due to work constraints. Also Covid 19 made it such that, tours inside a lot of the buildings were restricted.  I will love the opportunity to go back and experience the interiors of those iconic buildings. Especially to visit the museum that has information on the founding families and the history of the church. I love learning about history because I am always curious about whether my current personality will thrive or fail in different time eras.   There is so much to see and learn in and around Temple Square that you need to make this a multi days sight seeing tour.  Have you been to Salt Lake city? or better yet, are you from Salt Lake City?  I spent a  month (on and off) in Salt Lake City , Utah for work and it was very interesting to learn about its culture, origins and religion (Mormon). Salt Lake City is the mecca of the Mormon faith. With that in mind, a lot  of the rules and regulations that govern the city are inspired by the religion.  Liberty Park On the other hand, it is a beautiful city and state filled with more mountains than I have ever seen in my life. Driving to work every morning with the beautiful view of the mountains was astonishing. Definitely an outdoor lover's paradise. I was surprise to find out that they actually also have a sport culture.

Keeping in mind travel restrictions and daily changes on information around a SUCCESSFUL covid 19 vaccine, a girl can dream. If we are still struggling with travel restrictions in December 2020, I'll like to go back to mexico and experience the new year there to symbolically wrap up 2020 because that's where I spent NYE 2019.  Outside of that, I really want to go back to Africa.  My top 3 destinations are;  1. Kenya 2. Ghana 3. South Africa. Where will you want to go?

 It's been a while since I stepped foot into a goodwill. Beyond being able to find everyday items for super cheap prices, I love the broader mission of goodwill and all its efforts towards social equity. My goodwill budget is always between $10-$20. Sometimes I will intentionally not bring my wallet and only carry a paper bill to represent my spending cap because it is easy to get carried away while thrifting. My second restriction is, I will only shop or buy items with the sale tag of the day to ensure I get the additional 50% off. This takes a lot of discipline especially when you find something you love but it's not in the sale tag color of the day. You have to let it go and try again next time. One of my scriptures for this year has been Genesis 28:20 - 22 20  Then Jacob made a vow,  saying, “If God will be with me and will watch over me  on this journey I am taking and will give me food to eat and clothes to wear   21  so that I return safely  to my father’s household,  then the  Lord [ a ]  will be my God   22  and [ b ]  this stone that I have set up as a pillar  will be God’s house,  and of all that you give me I will give you a tenth. ” I've been on a journey since the beginning of the year.  I have crossed continents and oceans back and forth and even now I  find mys elf in a new city where the journey continues. In a sense, I feel like all my life I've been on a journey.  The difference between now and the past is this;   in the past, I was always looking forward to a destination. Are we cancelling the whole year 2020? If not, can a girl day dream on her summer bucket list? At this point, I'm not sure if am being delusional or if I can sincerely accomplish my summer bucket list. 1. Make it out to California - specifically San Diego 2. Read Where the Forest Meets the Stars. I have heard so many reviews about the book, I want to check it out for myself. 3.  International travel trip? 4. Visit friends in Boston I haven't seen because of the Quarantine 5. Run a race. I have been working out through out the quarantine and now I feel like I should top all that effort with race finishing medal. 6. Go back to Zion Park in Utah with a friend and spend the weekend.

What do you know about the Red Rock Canyons? Until I moved to the Nevada area, I knew nothing about them. And am the kind of girl who hates not knowing anything about something that I should know something about. So Let's learn together. 1. The  scenic drive is  13 miles (half marathon) . So you can still enjoy them without getting out of your car for you lazy or physically disabled bodies. 2. Modes of movement once you are on site include:  Hiking, biking, horseback riding and rock climbing. 3. Camping is a OUI/YES  4. The red color in some of the rocks formations are a result of Iron oxidation. Apparently it's also a great area for those who love bird watching. 5. Guys they found dinosaurs tracks here dating around 190 millions years ago.  Now if that's not cool I don't know what is.
