Busy seasons are inevitable. What isn’t inevitable is constant depletion . For a long time, I believed the answer was better time management — tighter schedules, more discipline, fewer gaps. What actually helped was something quieter: learning to notice where my energy was leaking . Protecting energy doesn’t mean controlling every variable. It means paying attention. It means recognizing when something consistently drains more than it gives, and responding with intention rather than endurance. During busy seasons, I simplify . I narrow focus. I return to basics — regular meals , consistent rest , gentle movement . I say no more often, and I explain less. Most importantly, I stop expecting myself to function as if the season were different. Energy is a resource meant to be stewarded , not spent indiscriminately.  When I protect it with care, I show up more present — not just productive.

A Trip That Gave Me More Than I Gave I have been watching my friend's youtube channel and podcast called: The Steady Road Home Her latest video,  The Seeds We Plant - Part 1  beautifully captures our Honduras Mission Trip in a way that words alone cannot do it justice. But first — some context on why this trip was so personal to me. The year before this Honduras trip, the plan was to travel with the same young adult ministry group on a different mission trip. The day before our departure, during our farewell barbeque at church, my dad had a stroke and was air-lifted to Mass General. I stayed behind to be with him in the hospital and did not travel for the mission trip. Shortly after that, he passed away. So when the opportunity came up again to travel with the same young adult ministry group the following year — to Honduras, to serve at the San Pedro Sula, Dream Center — I jumped at the opportunity. The US election circuit is here and lady wisdom wants us to use our brains and not our emotions. And most importantly lead with love because when you make a decision out of an abundance of love , you can not get it wrong even if the decision hurts. Like telling a child no to candy because you know it's unhealthy for them. The child may pout and hate you temporary but it's a tough decision that needs to be made for the health of the child. America is sick. We are mentally sick.  We are physically sick.  We are spiritually sick.  And as such...decisions need to be made that may sound "mean" temporary but are for our own good . To heal us. To heal the land. To heal our communities. We should all be independent voters.Citezens that are not easily swayed by propaganda machines but are swayed by an abundance of love for our fellow countrymen, to make the tough but right decisions that will take us down the path of healing as a nation.
