On Finishing dernier

I say it doesnt matter when you finish the race..as long as you cross the finish line.

And as far as us finishing last.......yes I consider myself a good girl...I will rather take my time and finish last. They say, with time everything....including people's personality(ies), will be revealed under the sun.

So take your time and let the games begin.

However, I will say this. As a "nice guy/girl you cannot bear the burden of the world or carry everyone's cross.

Most of the time, people have the CAPACITY to take care of their problems but would rather be lazy or take advantage of the kindness of others

Shakespeare wrote it best in As You Like It

JAQUES:

All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms.
And then the whining school-boy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress' eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honour, sudden and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the cannon's mouth. And then the justice,
In fair round belly with good capon lined,
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws and modern instances;
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slipper'd pantaloon,
With spectacles on nose and pouch on side,
His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide
For his shrunk shank; and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion,
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.

FOR RWANDA

For Rwanda…
For you, we light a candle
Not for the tragedy you faced, but for the resilience you showed
Not for the wrath you felt, but for the love you give
Not for the lives lost, but for the lives impacted
Not for the hurt you felt, but for the healing you seek
Not for the revival of your name, but for the pride we feel in calling you home
Not for the past you endured, but for the future you promise
For you, we light a candle.

Make it fun

The week started off with rain and very dull weather. To keep myself entertained with the constant rain beating on my window panes, I picked up 2 books from the library

Technically I should be too busy with my textbooks to have time for leisure reading but you know how  creative we procrastinators can be when it comes to making time for fun + play

On Exercise....

I got this abs exercise illustration workout from bye bye bidon
Exercise doesn't always have to be boring.
The author of the blog does monthly fun illustrations about exercises that target different muscle groups

Language alert :)......it's in french

And since we are talking about band de dessins, here are some little harajuku lovers i've been collecting this spring.....i love all the scents except for one...which i don't quite remember at the moment but am pretty sure its "Lil Angel".

I'm missing LOVE...The store had ran out of them at my time of purchase...I'm gonna go back and get it
.
I  like them for spring because they are not a "strong" scent . They have a lingering sweet, flower-esque scent that is not over powering. I use them for everyday wear but its not something i will recommend for a night out or date or formal event.

Also, perhaps I haven't been paying attention but it doesn't seem like the scent last all day. Truth be told, I bought them because of the packaging more so than anything else. When it comes to perfumes and body sprays, am a Ralph Lauren and Lacoste lover. Over 13 yrs and counting.

I hope unlike me some of you are experiencing amazing sunny weather. 3 days to a sunny weekend but who's counting?

Lights!Camera!Action Take #1 The Sun was in my eyes

Today reminded me of the book, The Stranger by Albert Camus without the murder and fighting scenes. It was uber sunny and i went on a promenade on the Charles river. I even brought along my computer and books in hopes that i may be inspired to work.

hehehehehe yeah right. work?

One kiss from the sun and i could not be bothered to be anything but blissfully lazy all day, just like meusault who had a certain sense of je m'emn fou even at the hour of death.

**Picture overload alert***I also finally decided to play around with the settings of my camera. Its a Samsung something...the one with both a front and back screen. These pictures have not been edited and i hope you can get a sense of just how sunny + bright it was

This is what we city folks have to settle for when it come to "beach" like  options
