Segregated, Saved and Sanctified

The thought of my identity as a black christian has been on my mind lately with everything that is going on in our world here in America.

Am I a black christian or a christian who is black?

My faith tells me we live in a fallen world and therefor in this world we will face suffering.
I believe that.
My problem as a black christian has never been with non-Christians because in my opinion I cannot hold people outside of my organization accountable to keeping the principles of that organization.

My problem with my faith has always been with evangelicals who refuse to confront the issues of racism in america. Church folks will be the first to sign up for mission trips to go save people in other countries but refuse to confront the issues at home.
Charity begins at home.

If one of the foundations of our  faith is LOVE, how can we be so divided as the body of Christ on the issue of racism?

The church is suppose to be the one leading the charge/fight against racism as a model of how our society should behave.

Like the good cops who feel like they constantly have to defend their profession because of the behavior of bad cops, as a christian, its getting harder and harder to defend my faith when it's polluted by racist and segregated evangelicals.

The body of Christ and its leadership in America, is failing its marginalized people, who make up it's congregations.
