Transparency versus Authenticity

I recently saw a quote on instagram.....because that's where most of us have been camping out during this pandemic. It goes like so;

" Be Authentic with everyone, 

Be Transparent with a few"

Well, what it the difference?

I define Authenticity as " not acting".

No charades required.

Not changing who you are based on the crowd you're interacting with.

I don't belief authenticity has any bearing on the nature of a relationship. You should be as authentic with the stranger you just met as you would with your best friend.

Meanwhile Transparency has to take into account the intimacy or lack of intimacy of the relationship or interaction. Transparency has to do with trust and privacy while authenticity has to do with the self respect you accord your own identity as a person.

Authenticity has to do with operating in or out of the "closet".

How do you inter-use/inter-change these actions in your relationships? Both personal and professional? Are there different versions of you for the different life groups you associate with? Or will people say you are thesame across the board?
